Dr. Wu GAO is a Professor of Integrated Circuits at Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU). He joined NPU in 2011 after completing his Ph.D. degree in Microelectronics at the University of Strasbourg, France, in 2011. From 2000 to 2007, he studied in NPU, Xi’an, Shaanxi Province, where he received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in computer science and technologies. From 2012 to 2016, he has worked as an associate professor with department of computer system and microelectronics at NPU. Since 2016, he has worked as a full-time professor with School of Computer Science and Technology, NPU. Since 2022, he is the director of the Interdisciplinary Research Center of Bio-inspired System-on-Chip, NPU.
Dr. Gao's research interests include Devices, Circuits and Architecture of Bio-inspired Chips, Analog and mixed-signal CMOS integrated circuit design, Radiation-Hardening Techniques of ASICs and SoCs. He has published more than 60 scientific papers and authored as two books. He has served as reviewers of more than ten Journals such as the IEEE TCAS-I, IEEE TNS, IEEE Sens. J., NIM A, JINST and MEJ. He is a member of the IEEE, a member of the integrated group of Chinese Computer Society, and a member of the radiation detection microelectronics group of Chinese Nuclear Society. In 2013, he was a co-recipient of the Andy-Chi Best Paper Award of IEEE Society of Instrumentation and Measurement. He was a winner of young science and technology star of Shaanxi Province in 2016 and the outstanding youth project of Shaanxi Province in 2020. He was awarded as the winner of National Youth Top Talents Program.
